Our Hunt areas allow for convenient driving throughout North and South Carolina!
Safety:
While waterfowl hunting by it's very nature can be more hazardous than many outdoor activities (water + cold... well, you get the idea!) - through proper preparation and planning we do our best to insure a safe and enjoyable experience is had by all!
We take all measures to insure that all our vessels meet all USCG* regulations and recommendations in compliance with USCG licensing requirements. In addition to your guides being licensed USCG Captains** and NCWRC licensed guides, all of our coastal vessels carry a readily available Type I PFD for every passenger, throw-type PFD's , first aid kit, fire extinguishers, sound device, flares, VHF radio or marine bluetooth cell device, anchors, spare mechanical items and fluids, international navigation lighting, as well as modern navigational aids (GPS Chart-plotters). We also follow load and capacity guidelines as recommended by the manufacturer of the vessel. All of our boats are maintained by professional certified marine mechanics and marine tradesmen for any hull or structural repairs. In addition, all of our coastal boats are covered under Boats US / Towboat US in the event of any type of mechanical problem - including roadside assistance in the event of a trailer issue in-route to or from remote launch areas. Our inland vessels have different guideline standards, yet all measures are taken to insure that they meet all USCG and NCWRC regulations for inland boating. ALL of our guides are, at a minimum, CPR and Basic First Aid trained and certified, and all transport of clients is provided by a USCG licensed Captain. It is also important to note that access to some of our hunting areas may require wading or walking. Sometimes over hazardous terrain - including oyster beds, sharp or pointed marsh grasses, rocks, and very soft soils. Injuries and equipment damage can occur.
*USCG - United States Coast Guard ** Attending Guide or Guides handling land accessed areas, equipment, set-up, or support - may not be licensed captains, however all vessel passenger transport is provided by properly licensed individuals.
